Online Dietitian Australia-Wide
Book a secure online consultation with an Accredited Practising Dietitian from anywhere in Australia. Our established team supports adults, teenagers and children with practical nutrition care that fits real life.
Simply Nutrition provides telehealth dietitian consultations across Australia, including rural and remote communities. You can access the experience of a larger dietitian team without travelling to a clinic, waiting for a local service or trying to work out which practitioner may suit your needs on your own.
Who online dietitian consultations can support
Our telehealth dietitian service is available Australia wide. It suits people looking for flexible access to an Accredited Practising Dietitian online, whether they live in a capital city, regional town or remote community.
Telehealth works well for many people, especially when travel, time or access are barriers.
What telehealth sessions can include
An established Australian dietitian team you can book online
Simply Nutrition is an Australian dietitian provider with an established team of 15 dietitians. This gives you access to a broader mix of clinical experience, appointment options and areas of interest than you may find with a single-practitioner service.
If you are looking for a telehealth dietitian in Australia, you can contact one service and have our team help match you with a dietitian suited to your needs. Your care remains personal, even though you have the support and continuity of a larger team behind you.
Online dietitian support by location
Our telehealth appointments are available throughout Australia. Explore information for your city and state below, or contact our team if your area is not listed. Wherever you live, you will connect with the same Simply Nutrition team.

Telehealth dietitian FAQs
What can a telehealth dietitian help with?
A telehealth dietitian can help with gut symptoms, diabetes, heart health, weight concerns, child feeding, eating disorders, NDIS nutrition therapy and more. The support is similar to an in person appointment, just delivered online.
Can I see a telehealth dietitian if I live in NSW, VIC or other states?
Yes. We provide online dietitian consults across Australia, including QLD, NSW, VIC, WA, SA, TAS, ACT and the NT. You only need a stable internet connection and a phone, tablet or computer.
Are online dietitian appointments as effective as face to face?
Telehealth can provide a suitable alternative to clinic appointments for many nutrition concerns. Your dietitian will let you know if an in-person assessment or another service would be more appropriate.
What do I need for a telehealth dietitian consult?
You will need a quiet space, a phone, tablet or computer, internet access and your appointment link. It helps to have recent blood tests, a medication list or food records handy, if you have them.
Can I use Medicare, NDIS or private health for telehealth?
Yes. If you have a Medicare EPC (Chronic Disease Management) referral from your GP, you can use it with us, even if the referral names another clinic. As long as the referral is for the correct profession (dietitian), it can usually be accepted. NDIS funding and private health extras may also apply depending on your cover.
My GP referral is addressed to another clinic, can I still use it?
In most cases, yes. Medicare EPC referrals are not provider specific. If your referral is current and written for dietetic services, you can generally use it with our telehealth dietitians. Our admin team can check this for you before your appointment.
Do you offer phone consults as well as video?
Yes. If video is not your preference, we can often offer phone based dietitian consults. You still receive the same evidence based advice and follow up as a video appointment.
Are an online nutritionist and an online dietitian the same?
Not always. In Australia, the terms nutritionist and dietitian can refer to different qualifications. Every Simply Nutrition clinician is a qualified dietitian, and our online appointments are provided by Accredited Practising Dietitians. If you are searching for an online nutritionist in Australia and need support with a health condition, an APD can provide individualised medical nutrition therapy as well as general nutrition advice.
