Tube Feeding Dietitian Support, PEG and Enteral Nutrition Plans
Tube feeding can feel like a lot at first, for you and your family. Our dietitians support adults, teens and children using PEG, PEJ, NG and other tube feeding options. We help you meet nutrition and hydration needs, troubleshoot common issues, and build a plan you can follow at home, in care, or while travelling.
We are a registered NDIS provider. We support clients Australia wide via telehealth, with home visit appointments available in selected areas including Brisbane, Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast, and the Moreton Bay region.
Why see a dietitian for tube feeding and enteral nutrition
Enteral feeding is not one set-and-forget plan. Needs can change with recovery, illness, medication changes, mobility, and appetite. We make sure the plan fits your body and your day-to-day life, then adjust it with you as things change.
Tube feeding and enteral nutrition support we offer
Support for new tubes, long-term feeding, partial feeding plus oral intake, and blended tube feeding. We tailor the plan to the diagnosis, equipment, medications, and daily routine.
What to expect from your appointment
Tube Feeding and PEG Dietitian FAQs
Can enteral nutrition be full-time or just top-up feeding?
Both. Some people rely on tube feeds for all nutrition needs, others use it to top up intake when eating and drinking is not enough. We build the plan around your goals, appetite, and medical needs.
Can you help if feeds are causing bowel changes or reflux symptoms?
Yes. We look at schedule, rate, formula type, hydration, fibre, medications, and daily routine. Small changes can make a big difference to comfort and tolerance.
Do you support blended tube feeding?
Often, yes, when it is suitable for the individual and the tube set-up. We focus on nutrition balance, food safety, storage, and a prep approach that fits your household and support team.
Do you see NDIS participants?
Yes. We see NDIS participants regularly and are able to support registered, plan-managed, and self-managed participants. This includes enteral nutrition planning, reviews, and reports where required.
Are home visit appointments available?
Home visits are available for tube feeding and PEG support in selected areas, including Brisbane, Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast, and the Moreton Bay region. Availability depends on clinician location and clinical need. Telehealth is available Australia wide.
Can appointments be done via telehealth?
Yes. We offer secure telehealth appointments Australia wide.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
If you can, bring your current feed plan, including product, volume, and timing, any recent weights, a medication list, and any relevant letters or discharge summaries. If you do not have these, still book, we can start with what you know.
My GP referral names another clinic, can I still use it?
Often, yes. If your Medicare EPC referral is current and written for dietetic services, you can usually use it with us. If you are unsure, our admin team can check before you book.
Can I claim rebates through Medicare or private health?
Many clients can claim through private health extras. Medicare rebates may apply when you have an eligible GP referral. If you tell us what you have, we will point you in the right direction.
