Stomach & Bowel Dietitian Support for IBS, IBD, Coeliac, Reflux & Diverticular Disease
Ongoing gut symptoms can affect sleep, energy, work, and confidence around food. Our dietitians provide evidence-based support as an IBS dietitian, IBD dietitian, and coeliac dietitian, alongside care for reflux, diverticular disease, and other stomach and bowel disorders. We use personalised nutrition therapy that fits real life, from symptom mapping and fibre tuning to FODMAP guidance when appropriate.
If you have had symptoms for a while, it is common to feel like you have tried everything. We focus on clear steps, testing changes in a structured way, and keeping the diet as flexible as possible.
Why see a dietitian for stomach and bowel disorders
Gut symptoms are rarely fixed by one rule. Different conditions need different strategies, and many people live with overlap. We help you work out what is most likely to help in your situation, then test changes in a structured, safe way.
Stomach & bowel disorder support we offer

What to expect from your appointment
Stomach & Bowel Disorder Dietitian FAQs
Do I need to do the low FODMAP diet for gut symptoms?
Not always. Some people do best with smaller changes first, like meal timing, fibre and fluid adjustments, or reducing a few clear triggers. If FODMAP is a good fit, we guide you through it step by step, then reintroduce foods to personalise your long-term diet.
Is it safe to cut lots of foods for gut symptoms?
It can backfire. Too much restriction can reduce fibre and variety, and make eating stressful. We aim for the least restrictive approach that still gives symptom relief.
Can you help with IBD, coeliac disease, diverticular disease, or reflux?
Yes. We tailor advice to your diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment plan. We also focus on protecting nutrition intake, maintaining variety, and building a plan that still works for work, family, and social eating.
Can appointments be done via telehealth?
Yes. We offer secure telehealth appointments Australia wide.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
If you can, bring any relevant results (bloods, scans, scopes), a medication list, and a rough idea of your usual meals and symptom pattern. If you do not have these, still book, we can start from where you are.
My GP referral names another clinic, can I still use it?
Often, yes. If your Medicare EPC referral is current and written for dietetic services, you can usually use it with us. If you are unsure, our admin team can check before you book.
Can I claim rebates through Medicare or private health?
Many clients can claim through private health extras. Medicare rebates may apply when you have an eligible GP referral. If you tell us what you have, we will point you in the right direction.
