Our check-in service may include:

• Height and Muscle Measurements: Using techniques like arm measurements, we assess height and muscle mass, providing valuable information for your dietitian.
• Dietary and Nutritional Screening: Our team can gather essential dietary information and perform screenings to determine if you require further support, such as NDIS funding adjustments or intervention effectiveness assessments.
• Weight checks for individuals in wheelchairs: Using our specialised mobile wheelchair scales, we offer a dignified and accurate weighing experience without requiring hospital visits or, as some clients have previously had to resort to, veterinary clinics. This service ensures comfort and convenience, allowing for wheelchair weighing either in-home or at the clinic.

​Our clinic is equipped with Portable Wheelchair Scales, specially designed for accurate and comfortable weighing for clients in manual wheelchairs. These scales feature a low, anti-slip platform for added stability, allowing you to remain seated while obtaining a precise measurement. They have a built-in BMI calculation, they provide an easy and dignified option for regular weight checks, eliminating the need for inconvenient hospital visits. Our Allied Health Assistant can also bring these mobile scales to your home, ensuring convenient, supportive health monitoring in the setting that suits you best.

Booking Details and Appointment Preparation

• Bookings & Fees: The Physical Assessment Check-In service is available by appointment only, with a small fee applicable.
• Preparing for Your Weigh-In: If you’re in a wheelchair, please bring your manual wheelchair to the appointment so we can weigh it separately for accuracy.
• Support with Transfers: If you require assistance transferring, please arrange for a carer or support person to be present, as our team cannot assist with transfers.
