Diabetes Dietitian Support, Practical Plans That Fit Real Life
If your readings feel unpredictable, or you are not sure what to change first, you are not alone. Our Accredited Practising Dietitians help you turn diabetes nutrition into clear, workable steps, matched to your routine, preferences, and treatment plan.
We can work alongside your GP, endocrinologist, and diabetes educator. If you use insulin or medicines that can cause hypos, we tailor changes carefully and step-by-step.
Why see a dietitian for diabetes
Diabetes management happens in real life, not on paper. We help you work out what to do on regular days and also the messy ones. You get education, problem-solving, and a plan you can stick with.
Diabetes support we offer
Choose the areas that matter to you. We can cover the basics, or go deeper if your diabetes is more complex.

Diabetes Dietitian FAQs
Do I need to cut out all carbs?
No. Most people do better with the right amount, spaced well through the day. We focus on portions, timing, and food quality so the plan is sustainable.
Can you help if I use a CGM?
Yes. We can review patterns, identify likely triggers, and set small trials so you learn what actually changes your readings.
Do you support Type 1 diabetes?
Yes. We can support carb counting skills, meal structure, and hypo prevention, in line with your medical team and diabetes educator.
Can appointments be done via telehealth?
Yes. We offer secure telehealth appointments Australia wide.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
If you can, bring recent blood results (such as HbA1c), a medication list, and any glucose data you have. If you do not have these, still book, we can start from where you are.
My GP referral names another clinic, can I still use it?
Often, yes. If your Medicare EPC referral is current and written for dietetic services, you can usually use it with us. If you are unsure, our admin team can check before you book.
Can I claim rebates through Medicare or private health?
Many clients can claim through private health extras. Medicare rebates may apply when you have an eligible GP referral. If you tell us what you have, we will point you in the right direction.
